HOW TO FOLLOW

The Great Britain SailGP Team, presented by INEOS, begin the first event of SailGP Season 2 in Sydney, Australia, this weekend.

Racing takes place Friday 28th Feb & Saturday 29th Feb
Day 1 Fri 28th 4.30 – 6AM GMT / 3.30-5PM AEDT
Day 2 Sat 29th 5.30 –7AM GMT / 4.30-6PM AEDT

The squad is a combination of athletes from INEOS TEAM UK – the British Challenger for the America’s Cup – and existing members of the Great Britain SailGP Team. Helmed by the world’s most successful Olympic sailor, Sir Ben Ainslie, the British SailGP Team unveiled their new-look F50 to the world on Sydney Harbour last week. Read the full PREVIEW.

SailGP is an annual, global sports championship featuring bold, 
cutting-edge technology and awe-inspiring athleticism. The
fan-centric, inshore racing takes place in some of the most iconic harbours around the globe and culminates with a $1 million winner-takes-all match race. The seven international teams battle it out in identical supercharged F50 catamarans exceeding speeds of 50 knots (nearly 60 mph/100 kph).
